Why New Boston Businesses Need Commercial Drain Cleaning

A clogged commercial drain can bring everyday work to a halt. Water may collect around floor drains, restrooms can become unusable, and a kitchen backup can interrupt food preparation. Advanced Plumbing of Monroe provides commercial drain cleaning for businesses in New Boston, Michigan, helping address blockages before they cause a bigger disruption.

If a drain is backing up or several fixtures are draining slowly, don’t wait for the problem to get worse. Call (734) 243-8830 to discuss the issue and arrange service.

A slow drain may seem manageable until water starts coming back up. Grease, food particles, soap residue, sediment, and other debris can build up inside commercial plumbing lines. A blockage may affect one fixture or point to a problem farther down the drainage system.

For New Boston businesses, the consequences can include wet floors, unpleasant odors, disrupted operations, and sanitation concerns. If you notice repeated clogs or standing water, have the problem checked before it develops into a full backup.

Putting off commercial drain cleaning can allow a partial blockage to become a complete obstruction. Recurring clogs may also point to roots, damaged piping, heavy scale, or another problem that cleaning alone may not fix.

Professional drain cleaning helps remove the material restricting the line. If the blockage keeps returning, a closer inspection can help identify the cause and determine whether the pipe needs further work. Call Advanced Plumbing of Monroe at (734) 243-8830 to arrange service in New Boston, Michigan.

Professional Commercial Drain Cleaning for New Boston, Michigan

Advanced Plumbing of Monroe provides commercial drain cleaning to businesses throughout New Boston, Michigan. We assess the drainage problem and determine which cleaning method fits the affected line and the type of blockage.

Some clogs respond to mechanical drain-cleaning equipment. Others may need high-pressure hydro jetting to remove stubborn grease, mineral deposits, or accumulated debris. If the same drain keeps clogging, a video camera inspection can help show whether roots, pipe damage, or another obstruction is responsible.

The goal is to restore proper drainage and help you understand what caused the problem. Call (734) 243-8830 to discuss your commercial plumbing needs.

Comprehensive Commercial Drain Cleaning Services in New Boston

Advanced Plumbing of Monroe offers commercial drain cleaning services for businesses in New Boston, Michigan. The service your property needs depends on the location of the blockage, the condition of the pipe, and how the drainage system is used.

– Commercial drain snaking: Mechanical augers can break through or remove many common blockages in accessible drain lines.
– Hydro jetting: High-pressure water may help remove stubborn grease, sludge, mineral deposits, and other buildup when the pipe is suitable for this method.
– Video camera inspections: A drain camera can help locate an obstruction and identify signs of roots, cracks, or other pipe problems.
– Emergency drain clearing: A sudden backup may need prompt attention to reduce disruption to your business.
– Preventive drain maintenance: Businesses with recurring clogs or heavy drain usage may benefit from a maintenance schedule based on their plumbing conditions.

Cleaning methods are selected according to the pipe material, blockage, and condition of the drainage system. If an inspection reveals pipe damage, further repairs may be needed.

I have not used Advanced Plumbing before but I can already tell you when I need a plumber, I'll be calling them. My senior neighbor told me this evening that she called you guys this morning for what she thought was a sump pump alarm that had been driving her crazy for hours. One of your service men, Eric I believe she said, showed up and spent a 1/2 looking for the source of the alarm. He found it. It was her Carbon Monoxide detector that was malfunctioning. He advised her that it was important that she replace it, in which, she did. The best part of this story is that they did not charge her a dime to come out. I was so grateful to hear this that I think it is noteworthy to bring attention to this act of kindness from this company and the kind of people you employ. It says a lot about you! Thank you!!!! From the neighbor of the grateful lady you helped this morning!

I have used Advanced for all of my plumbing needs, emergency or routine maintenance. They are able to get me on the schedule very quickly with competitive pricing. Eric is fantastic. He does excellent work, doesn’t do work that isn’t needed and talks you through everything. The other techs I’ve had are just as great. I refer everyone who needs work to them. Don’t hesitate to call them. Hands down, the best around.

Called to get a leak fixed in my upstairs bathroom. (Had an existing access hole in the ceiling) He came out to diagnose the problem, adjusted the water spout and silicone the spout, and put an access in the wall for another angle to see the problem. Said that should fix it. Still leaking called the office and she told me they will come out and diagnose the problem, and I would be charged again. They already came out and missed diagnosed the problem. Now they want to come out again and charge me again for another diagnosis that they didn't solve. I want to support their business but to keep charging to diagnose a problem that isn't correctly diagnose is just wrong. I'm glad to pay for a leak that is fixed. But to keep playing elimination until you find the leak and charging me is not the way to solve this. She didn't have any solutions to give me other than keep charging me.

We appreciate any and all feedback. We did look back at our notes regarding this job. The initial visit on October 30, 2024 was to assess and repair a leak on a 3" pvc sewer line between the first and second floor in the ceiling. We have noted down that there was already a hole cut and it is suspected that approximately 2' needed to be cut out and repaired. That leak was repaired on site by cutting out the bad section of 3” pvc at a coupling that wasn’t glued. On December 9, 2024 we were called back out for a potential follow-up. Our notes state that there was still a leak in the ceiling. Upon arrival, it was described to us that the leak was in a separate area, near the tub, resulting in a new service call, not a follow-up. There was already a hole cut in the drywall ceiling below. Investigative work began where we ran water at the tub/shower fixture. We did not see anything leaking. We did, however, notice that the spout wasn’t siliconed against the shower wall. We adjusted and siliconed the tub spout to the wall and explained that water could sometimes run down the wall behind the spout resulting in a leak. We also cut access on the backside of the tub/shower and found no leaks. We provided and installed an access panel and advised to keep an eye on the area and to call if anything further leaks. Today, March 18, 2025 (99 days after the service call) we received a call stating there was still a leak in the ceiling area. We explained that we would treat this as a new service call to further investigate and diagnose the unknown leak. We understand leaks can be frustrating because they can be hard to locate, especially when we cannot get it to leak while on site. We are more than willing and happy to come out to further diagnose the ongoing leak as a service. We do appreciate your business and feedback and look forward to working with you again in the future.

Had them out to do regular service my hot water on demand system for descaling. They were able to get me in within a day of calling them. The tech Eric explained a lot about the system. He identified a potential issue with the system and fixed it on the spot. The tech was very respectful and performed great work. The scheduler on the phone was friendly and kind. I would recommend them to friends and family for any future plumbing work.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does commercial drain cleaning cost in New Boston, Michigan?

Every commercial drain cleaning job is different, so the cost depends on the type of blockage, the size and condition of the drain system, how easy it is to reach the affected line, and the work needed to clear it. Call Advanced Plumbing of Monroe at (734) 243-8830 to explain your situation and get an accurate quote for your business.

What affects the cost of commercial drain cleaning?

The main factors are the severity of the clog, the length and diameter of the affected pipe, the type of material causing the blockage, and whether the line needs a camera inspection or additional work. Grease buildup in a commercial kitchen may call for a different approach than roots or heavy sediment in an underground sewer line. We can discuss the work involved and provide pricing based on your facility’s needs.

How long does commercial drain cleaning take?

Some accessible drain clogs can be cleared in a relatively short service visit. More difficult blockages, extensive buildup, or problems deep in a main sewer line may take longer, particularly if the technician needs to inspect the pipe or determine why the clog keeps returning. The time required depends on what we find and the cleaning method needed. Call (734) 243-8830 to discuss the issue and arrange service.

How do I know my business needs professional drain cleaning?

Watch for slow-draining sinks, floor drains that hold water, repeated clogs, unpleasant sewer odors, gurgling pipes, or water backing up into work areas. In restaurants and commercial kitchens, grease and food waste can build up inside drain lines over time. If several fixtures begin draining slowly at once, the problem may involve a shared branch line or the main sewer line rather than one fixture.

What happens if I put off commercial drain cleaning?

A partial blockage can become a full backup. That may leave restrooms unusable, interrupt kitchen operations, create unsanitary conditions, or force parts of your business to close while the plumbing problem is addressed. Continued buildup can also make it harder to identify the original cause of recurring drainage issues. Calling early gives you a chance to address the problem before it causes a larger interruption.

What does commercial drain cleaning include?

The service depends on the condition of your plumbing system. It may include assessing the affected drain, locating the blockage, using a suitable mechanical auger or other drain-cleaning equipment, and checking drainage after the clog has been cleared. High-pressure hydro jetting may be appropriate for certain lines with heavy grease or mineral buildup. A video camera inspection can help identify roots, damaged pipe sections, or other problems that ordinary cleaning may not resolve.

Can you clean drains in restaurants, offices, warehouses, and other commercial buildings?

Advanced Plumbing of Monroe serves businesses in New Boston, Michigan. Commercial drainage needs vary by property: restaurants may deal with grease and food debris, offices may have restroom and break-room clogs, and warehouses or other facilities may have floor drains and larger waste lines. Call (734) 243-8830 to describe your building and confirm the service your plumbing system needs.

How often should a business schedule commercial drain cleaning?

The right schedule depends on how the building is used, the number of people using its plumbing, the type of waste entering the drains, and its history of blockages. A busy commercial kitchen may need more frequent attention than an office with light plumbing use. Have recurring problems assessed and ask about a maintenance schedule based on your facility’s conditions rather than relying on one schedule for every business.

Is professional drain cleaning better than chemical drain cleaners?

Professional cleaning can address the blockage with equipment selected for the drain and pipe conditions. Chemical products may fail to remove the full obstruction and can pose risks to certain plumbing materials. For commercial systems, repeated chemical treatments are not a substitute for finding the cause of a recurring clog. A plumber can determine whether mechanical cleaning, hydro jetting, an inspection, or another repair is appropriate.

What are my options if cleaning does not clear the drain problem?

If a blockage returns or the line remains restricted after cleaning, the pipe may have roots, a damaged section, a low spot, heavy scale, or another underlying issue. A video camera inspection can help identify what is happening inside the line. Depending on the findings, the next step may be further cleaning, a targeted repair, or sewer line replacement. The right option depends on the actual condition of the pipe.

Can commercial drain cleaning be an emergency service?

Yes. A serious drain backup can affect sanitation, access to restrooms, and day-to-day business operations. Advanced Plumbing of Monroe’s current page states that 24/7 emergency support is available. Call (734) 243-8830 to explain the problem, confirm availability, and discuss the next step for your New Boston property.

What results should I expect after commercial drain cleaning?

When the blockage is the main cause of the problem and the pipe is in sound condition, cleaning should restore normal drainage and remove the material restricting the line. If the pipe is cracked, misaligned, or otherwise damaged, cleaning alone may not resolve the issue permanently. The result depends on the underlying cause, which is why recurring clogs may need further inspection.

How do I choose a commercial drain cleaning company in New Boston?

Look for a plumbing provider who asks about your symptoms, explains the proposed cleaning method, discusses the scope of work and price before proceeding, and tells you when an inspection or repair may be needed. For a commercial property, also ask how the work may affect business operations and what happens if the blockage turns out to involve a damaged pipe. Call Advanced Plumbing of Monroe at (734) 243-8830 to discuss your drainage issue and request a quote.
